Documentation

The documents and sanitary protocols are different, according to the countries of origin and destination. Carga Viva Export is a subject matter expert and takes care of all these requirements for you.

Airline

Carga Viva Export carries out the study and planning of the best flights, both domestic and international, as well as the choice of Airlines, seeking for quality, safety, and the shortest traveling time.

Customs Clearance

During customs clearance, customs procedures are carried out with physical and documentary animal's inspections by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Internal Revenue Service and the Airline.

Getting to know the airplane

The cargo compartment of the airplane, unlike what most people think, is a safe place, with pressure, ventilation, lighting, and temperature control.

Sedation

The use of sedatives and tranquilizers is not permitted by the airlines. They interfere with the animal's vital senses and natural balance, which can lead to falls and trauma.

Medication

For the animal that needs continuous medication, Carga Viva Export has a team of veterinarians that can maintain the treatment during boarding and landing.

Travel Kennel

The right choice of travel kennel will ensure safety and welfare to your pet, avoiding inconveniences during the boarding. There are many brands in the market. We recommend the Vari Kennel model (manufacturer: Petmate), an international reference approved by the airlines. The Vari Kennel has superior quality and presents better ventilation, comfort and safety to the animal.

The Animal Fun store is our partner

You will find all sizes of kennels and soft-sided carriers for your pet's transport.

The right choice of kennel will ensure your pet's safety and welfare, avoiding inconveniences during the boarding.

Meet Pet Taxi By Carga Viva Export

The Carga Viva Export has exclusive vehicles for pet transport, with thermoacoustic lining, air conditioning and anti-stress diffuser, which provides a safer and more protected environment for your pet. The animal, picked-up by our van, arrives at the airport with a calm and quiet behavior.

This happens since, often, parting with the owner can cause excitement and stress for the animal. To minimize this stress we do an all-stages transportation plan, ensuring safety and welfare to your pet.

Vetcall

By hiring Carga Viva Export you can make a video conference with one of our veterinarians to ask questions. We also have partnerships in Brazil and abroad, with veterinary clinics able to perform vaccinations, anti-parasitic treatments, microchipping, rabies serology and a health certificate for the animal.

Veterinary and technical team

Our team of veterinarians and technicians will guide you through the trip's step-by-step during boarding and landing, and also on the documents and exams required for your pet's international transport.

Quotation

In order for us to make quotations for the entire process, which will be carried out in the country of origin and in the country of destination, it is necessary for you to fill out our form.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cargo compartment like?

The cargo compartment of the airplane, unlike what most people think, is a safe place, with pressure, ventilation, lighting, and temperature control. The wall is anti-noise and the travel kennel is attached to the aircraft's floor through straps, so it does not move during the flight.

Animals are always the last to be boarded on the aircraft and the first to be removed. In countries with extreme temperatures, an air-conditioned airline vehicle transports the animal to the cargo terminal, during boarding or landing.

Travel Kennel

The container/box/kennel must comply with the IATA (International Air Transport Association) standard. Kennel size and material depend on the species, breed, size of the animal, and whether it will travel in the cabin or cargo compartment.

The container must comply with the following requirements:

  • Height: the animal should be seated with approximately 10 cm between its head and the ceiling;
  • Width: the animal should be able to make a 360° turn, with enough room to do it;
  • Length: the kennel should have enough space for the animal to lie flat;
  • Ventilation: holes or windows are mandatory on the kennel's sides and bottom;
  • Door: must be made of metal with a latch for sealing;
  • Feeding/Drinking trough: fixed at the door;
  • Absorbent mats: guarantees the animal's hygiene and welfare;
  • Wheels: wheeled kennels are forbidden.

NOTE: Some models manufactured in Brazil do not comply with the IATA standard and are constantly refused by airlines. We recommend purchasing the kennels from our partner company: www.animalfun.com.br

Does my pet need to be sedated?

The use of sedatives and tranquilizers is not permitted by the airlines. They interfere with the animal's vital senses and natural balance, which can lead to falls and trauma.

During the flight will my pet be fed and hydrated?

The kennel in which the animal is transported contains the feeding and drinking troughs, which will be supplied by Carga Viva Export at the airport of origin. There will be no refueling during the flight, only at the stopover and at the destination airport.
