Horses import and export

Import

In the case of import, the first thing you need to know is that Brazil has a breed-specific zootechnical legislation for the import's approval.

For the animal to enter Brazil, a quarantine or sanitary isolation is required in the country of origin, where the laboratory exams that will certify the health of your animal will be done.

Export

When exporting, we must follow the sanitary and fiscal requirements of the destination countries. Some countries require pre-export quarantine in Brazil. In other countries, only quarantine at the destination is required.

Quarantine

Carga Viva Export partners with several quarantine centers around the world, which carry out quarantines for Olympic teams, Equestrian competitions, fairs, exhibitions, and other important events in the equestrian sector.

Once the quarantine is completed, your horse will be transported via road in a sealed vehicle to the airport of departure.

Once at the airport of origin, physical and documentary inspections will be performed at customs. During the flight the animal is accompanied and monitored by a professional (Groom).

At the airport of destination, again, physical and documentary inspections are carried out with the Internal Revenue Service and the Ministry of Agriculture, and payments of taxes and airport fees are made.
